About me
Hello everyone! My name is Atticus Scott. I just completed my first year as a Master's student at the University of Rhode Island, working for Dr. Jason Parent in the URI Environmental Data Center. My research is primarily focused on modeling salt marsh migration along the east coast of the United States using remote sensing & geospatial analysis.
I grew up in Maine and love being outdoors, so coastal ecosystems and the services they provide for us played a significant role in my upbringing. This appreciation for the coast is what made me decide to attend Endicott College, which is located along Massachusetts' North Shore. I graduated from Endicott with a B.S in environmental Science and a minor in biology in May of 2025, and I wrote my senior thesis on how soil microbial communities in salt marshes on the North Shore respond to sea level rise.
