About me
Jeff Amero is the GIS Manager in the Information Technology Dept. for the City of Cambridge, MA. Jeff has over 30 years of experience in the GIS field, and has been with the City for the past 25 years. Jeff’s latest challenge in municipal GIS is to bring 3D GIS and emerging technologies into the City to support the City’s sustainability efforts. Prior to joining the City of Cambridge, Jeff worked as a GIS Manager for two MA based engineering firms, the Metropolitan District Commission in Hartford, CT, and New York Department of Transportation in Albany. NY. Jeff has B.S. in Cartography from Salem State University and is very active in the New England GIS community.
